COMMUNITY INVESTMENT PROGRAMS
The City believes that all residents deserve an opportunity to share in the advantages of life in Beaverton. The Mayor and City Council are advocates locally and regionally for affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization and for services to that support people in need. Our Community Investment Programs are funded primarily through the use of two federal programs administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program.
CDBG/HOME - PLANS AND REPORTS
The City of Beaverton and Washington County are required to submit the following plans and reports to HUD on an annual and 5-year basis. They outline how CDBG, HOME, ADDI and ESG funds will be/have been used throughout the community to achieve 5-year goals and outcomes.
2005-2010 Consolidated Plan
The City of Beaverton and Washington County’s 5 year plan that assesses community needs, identifies goals and outcomes to address those needs, and outlines how Community Development Block Grant, HOME, American Dream Down payment Initiative, and Emergency Shelter Grant funds will be used to reach the identified goals and outcomes.2006 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER)
The CAPER is the City of Beaverton and Washington County’s annual performance report. This document provides the public and HUD and overview of how grant funds were utilized throughout the City and County to address annual and long term goals throughout the area.2007 Action Plan Amendment
The City of Beaverton is seeking to amend an activity that was proposed in the 2007 Annual Action Plan. Public comment will be accepted between January 31, 2008 and February 29, 2008.2008 Draft Annual Action Plan
The Annual Action Plan provides an overview of how the City of Beaverton and Washington County intend to utilize their annual grant award to address both annual and five-year goals and outcomes throughout the community. The document identifies specific activities that the City and County plan to undertake during the next program year (July 1-June 30) Public comment will be accepted between March 12, 2008 to April 11, 2008.
