The City of Beaverton typically awards 15% of its annual allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds (the maximum HUD allows) to local nonprofits to fund various social service programs for Beaverton residents. In addition, the City has in recent years combined with this amount a share of the City's State Revenue Sharing funds.
CDBG Public Services Grants are awarded through a competitive process overseen by the Social Services Funding Committee (SSFC). Applications are available each January and can be attained by contacting the Mayor's Office (call 503-526-2481). The Completed application is due in late January or very early February of the same year.
