The City of Beaverton's economic development program is designed to provide strategic information to Beaverton-based companies to help them expand and grow their operations. The objectives of the program are to provide strategic business intelligence to Beaverton-based businesses to help make them more competitive; demonstrate that the community cares about and appreciates its local business firms; identify and help solve problems that Beaverton's businesses may be having; identify the business expansion opportunities of Beaverton businesses; identify the employment opportunities coming from existing Beaverton businesses; build community capacity to sustain the growth of its local businesses; and improve the overall business climate within the City of Beaverton.
The Economic Development Program also works with developers and real estate professionals on the redevelopment of our downtown and manages the City's federally funded grant programs, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME programs, benefiting low and moderate income persons.
